First baseman Harry Taylor had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Scott Stratton went 9
strong innings at Eclipse Park as the Louisville Colonels embarrassed the
Columbus Solons by the lopsided score of 16 to 2.

Stratton(14-3) was on top of his game.  He allowed just 5 hits and 1 walk in 9
innings.  Louisville bats were hot in the 3rd inning which saw them score 4
runs on 3 hits and the 8th inning when they had 5 runs on 4 hits.  Louisville
had a total of 19 hits for the game.  

Wild Bill Widner(1-5) was tagged with the loss.  He was knocked around,
surrendering 11 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings.  Wth the win Louisville now has a
record of a league leading 28-10.  With the loss, Columbus has a record of
4-6 lately, 19-21 overall.
