In a good matchup it was the St. Louis Cardinals 6, the floundering Boston
Braves 3 at South End Grounds.

Slim Sallee(5-5) earned his pay with a solid performance for St. Louis.  He
allowed 8 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.  Both teams ended up with 10
hits on the afternoon.  

Pol Perritt preserved the game for Sallee, recording his his 2nd save.  The
loss was charged to Otto Hess(3-5).  He surrendered 10 hits and 7 walks in 9
innings.
