WEB GEMS- Top 6th: Pee Wee Reese robbed Al Dark of a base hit.

Ted Kluszewski cracked a homer and had 3 RBI as the New York Yankees beat the
St. Louis Cardinals by a score of 10 to 4.

New York brought 6 runs across the plate in the 5th inning with the help of 5
hits. The key at-bat was by Kluszewski who disappointed the partisan crowd
when he lofted a three-run bomb. New York out-hit St. Louis for the game, 14
hits to 7.

The win went to Spec Shea(2-2) who allowed 1 run in 3 innings. Ned Garver
recorded the save, his 3rd. Vic Raschi(4-4) took the loss. He got hammered,
allowing 9 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
