In a game for the baseball purist, Howie Pollet(10-3) and Allie Reynolds(3-7)
squared off in a tense pitching duel, Cleveland Indians finally emerged
victorious over Pittsburgh Pirates, 2 to 1.

Pollet had a solid outing for Cleveland.  He allowed 8 hits and 1 walk in 8
and 1/3 innings.  Pittsburgh out-hit Cleveland 8 to 5, but Cleveland ended up
with more runs.
