Al Rosen smashed 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI at Yankee Stadium where the
Philadelphia-NL Phillies beat the New York-AL Yankees 13 to 5.

Rosen was a one-man wrecking crew. He lifted one out of the park for a two
run home run in the 3rd inning, clubbed a three-run home run in the 4th
inning and stroked a base-hit scoring a run in the 7th inning.
Philadelphia-NL had 18 hits for the night while New York-AL had 13.

Dizzy Trout(11-1) went 5 innings allowing 4 runs for the win. Virgil Trucks
got the save, his 2nd. Sal Maglie(3-5) absorbed the loss. He served up 3
homeruns in his 6 and 1/3 innings.

'I was in my hotel room the other night, working on my swing and made some
adjustments,' Rosen said. 'I'm always working on it. If they are getting you
out certain ways, you've got to make changes.'
