Marion Fricano had a complete game as the New York-AL Yankees defeated the
Washington Nationals in 10 innings by the score of 3 to 1 at Griffith
Stadium.

up winning it in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Smoky Burgess
began the rally when he banged out a single. Connie Ryan followed next and
he cleared the fences for a two-run home run. New York-AL and Washington
