Willie Mays left the yard and had 3 RBI as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the
Chicago-NL Cubs in 10 innings by the score of 7 to 3 at Wrigely Field.

The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings.  Finally, Pittsburgh
pulled the game out in the 10th inning.  The big moment was provided by Mays
who silenced the stadium when he belted a three-run homer.  Pittsburgh had 13
hits for the game and Chicago-NL had 8.  

The victory went to Jim Konstanty(4-1) who went 2 innings, allowing 2 runs.
Robin Roberts(11-4) was hit with the loss.  He pitched 9 innings and
surrendered 11 hits and 1 walk.
