Old Hoss Radbourn pitched a complete game as the Boston Beaneaters defeated
the Philadelphia Quakers by a score of 6 to 5 at South End
Grounds.

Radbourn(8-8) delivered a fine performance for Boston.  He was reached for 9
hits and 4 walks in 9 innings.  Philadelphia threatened in the 9th but their
rally came up short.  

Ed Daily(1-4) was the loser.  'Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals' said
Harry Wright after the game.  'We lost this game today because we didn't
follow the instructions every Little Leaguer hears every day.'
