Mike Smith completed the game without help from the bullpen as the Cincinnati
Red Stockings topped the St. Louis Browns by a score of 5 to 2 at League
Park.

In the 4th inning Cincinnati scored 2 runs.  Cincinnati rapped out 9 hits for
the afternoon.  Smith(8-2), allowing 2 runs for the game, picked up the
victory. Silver King(13-4) was hit with the loss.
