Third baseman Doggie Miller had 2 base hits at Boundary Field as the St. Louis
Browns beat the Washington Senators 9 to 7.

The game started off with St. Louis taking the lead in the first when they
tallied 3 runs on 3 hits.  Washington had a chance in the 9th but they came
up short.  

The victory was credited to Dad Clarkson(3-7) who went 8 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 7 runs. Clarkson got help from Pink Hawley who earned his 1st save.
Al Maul(3-3) was hit with the loss.  He surrendered 13 hits and 1 walk in 9
innings.  

'It was a tough one to lose' said Gus Schmelz 'We'll get them next time out.'
