Jack Stivetts allowed Frank Selee to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
as the sizzling Boston Beaneaters defeated the Louisville Colonels by a score
of 8 to 4 at South End Grounds.

Louisville never recovered after Boston took the lead in the 4th inning
scoring 2 runners on 2 hits.  Boston banged out 14 hits on the afternoon.

The win was credited to Stivetts(3-0) who went the whole way allowing 4 runs.
Bert Cunningham(3-3) ended up with the loss.  He was knocked around by
Boston, allowing 14 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.  

For Boston, it was just another victory in their mounting winning streak.
Frank Selee was happy with his team's performance of late - 'They're playing
solid ball right now' he said.  'Let's hope they can stay focused.'
