Buffalo came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 9th inning scoring 3 runs utilizing 3 base hits. Del Young started the inning off right when he ripped a base-hit. After an out was recorded, Jack Snyder came to bat and drew a walk. Larry Schlafly followed, but he was set down on strikes. Nick Allen came up and he slapped a single driving in a run. Allen took second on the throw. Frank Delahanty came up to bat and tripled with two more runners crossing home. Buffalo banged out 7 hits on the afternoon. The win was credited to Gene Krapp(7-1) who went 1 inning allowing no runs. Joe Houser got the save, his 2nd. Gene Packard(2-8) was tagged with the loss. George Stovall was understandably not very talkative after his team's tough loss. He quickly showered and changed and when asked about the game had a terse, yet polite response, 'Hey fellows, that game was a heart-breaker to lose. Our guys gave it their all and played well - fate just wasn't smilin' on us this afternoon' SCORESHEET: 1914 Buffalo Buffeds at 1914 Kansas City Packers F.Delaha-A1 A1:L/5 B1:E/4 *6*:F/9 D1:Si>2# E1:Tr>3# 12 2# J.Agler-A1 A2:G/13 B2:K C2:L/4 D2:F/8 E2:W>b1 B.Louden-A1 A3:W>b1 *4*:Si C3:G/31 D3:F/9 E3:K C.Hanfor-A1 A4:SB>12 B4:SB>12 *7*:F/7 D4:Force/ G/63 G/43>23 64>1o b1 D.Young-A1 *2*:G/43 B5:L/4 C5:HR>b# *9*:Si T.Downey-A1 A6:G/63 B6:G/3 C6:G/53 D6:L/3 F.Smith-A1 A7:K *5*:Do C7:K D7:W>12 b J.Snyder-D7 1 W.Blair-A1 *3*:G/31 B8:F/9>23 *8*:HBP D8:K L.Schlaf-D8 R.Ford-A1 A9:F/9 B9:CS/2>3 C9:HBP>12 D9:Si>2# E.Booe-C9 o K 13 G.Krapp-D5+ C.Chadbo-A1 A1:G/53 B1:G/43 *6*:G/63 D1:E/4>3# E1:W>12 b W.Tappan-E1 12 1 G.Gilmor-A1 A2:F/8 *4*:L/4 C2:G/53 D2:K E2:G-DP/6 43>1o D.Kenwor-A1 A3:G/63 B3:HR>b# C3:HR>b# *8*:Si T.Easter-A1 *2*:G/53 B4:G/63 C4:Si D4:F/9 G.Perrin-A1 A5:Si B5:L/3 C5:G/63 D5:SB>12 G/53 A.Kruger-A1 A6:G-DP/4 *5*:F/8 *7*:E/4 D6:IW>b1 G.Hogan-D8 63>1o P.Goodwi-A1 *3*:Si B7:Si C7:G/3>12 D7:F/7 C.Daring-A1 A8:F/7 B8:F/7 C8:G/63 *9*:W>b1 G.Packar-A1 A9:K B9:F/9 C9:Si>23 D9:F/8 J.Potts-D8 G.Stoval-D9
