Babe Adams went the distance as the Pittsburgh Pirates topped the Boston
Braves by a score of 6 to 3 at South End Grounds.

Pittsburgh brought 4 runs across the plate in the 4th inning when they came up
with 5 base hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Mike Mitchell who
silenced the stadium when he doubled bringing home two baserunners.
Pittsburgh totaled 12 hits on the afternoon.  

Adams(6-5) lasted until the end allowing 3 runs for the win. Hub Perdue(2-4)
ended up with the loss.  He allowed 12 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings.
