WEB GEMS- Top 3rd: Wally Westlake robbed Wally Moon of an extra base hit.

They almost ran out of baseballs at Ebbets Field as Philadelphia-AL Athletics
clobbered the Brooklyn Dodgers pitching staff, scoring 15 runs while Lew
Burdette(4-4), with relief help from Camilo Pascual, allowed Brooklyn 4
runs.

Ed Bailey led the offense for Philadelphia-AL. He laced a base-knock in the
4th inning, caught a hold of a bad pitch for a Grand Slam homerun in the 6th
inning and lined a single in the 9th inning. Philadelphia-AL provided plenty
of action in the 6th inning which saw them score 8 runs on 4 hits.
Philadelphia-AL had 13 hits overall, while Brooklyn had 6.

Pascual gained credit for his 1st save. Art Fowler(3-3) was charged with the
loss. He was touched for 12 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
