Gus Triandos slammed 3 homeruns and had 7 RBI and Bob Lemon had a complete
game as the Kansas City Athletics bested the Cleveland Indians 13 to 6 at
Municipal Stadium.

Triandos really lit it up for Kansas City. The Cleveland fans let him have it
for what he did to their boys. He smashed a two-run homer in the 2nd inning,
smacked a three-run homer in the 3rd inning and lifted one out of the park
for a two run home run in the 9th inning. Kansas City banged out 12 hits on
the afternoon.

The win was credited to Lemon(5-5) who went the whole way allowing 6 runs.
Steve Gromek(3-7) was the loser. He was touched for 8 homeruns in his 9
innings of work.

Kansas City now has a record of 27-40. Cleveland has a record of 34-37 after
the loss.
