Jim Delahanty had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Doc Crandall was strong in relief for
Boston-AL as the Boston-AL Red Sox topped the New York-NL Giants by a score
of 7 to 2 at Polo Grounds.

Walter Johnson(6-6) pitched okay, well enough for the win.  He went 6 and 1/3
innings allowing 8 hits and 4 walks.  Crandall was great in relief and
recorded his 1st save.  

The loss was charged to Johnny Lush(4-7).  He got hammered, allowing 9 hits
