Howie Camnitz was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the smoking-hot Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Brooklyn
Superbas by a score of 10 to 1 at Forbes Field.

Camnitz(7-3) had a strong outing. He surrendered only 6 hits and 1 walk in 9
innings. Pittsburgh totaled 11 hits on the afternoon.

Kaiser Wilhelm(2-4) absorbed the loss. He got hammered, allowing 11 hits and
8 walks in 8 innings. For Pittsburgh, it was just another victory in their
mounting winning streak. 'It seems we can't lose these days', Fred Clarke
volunteered after the game. Then after a moment to reflect he lamented, 'Oh
great! Now I've gone and jinxed us!'
