Jim Hughes went the distance as the Brooklyn Superbas beat the Baltimore
Orioles by a score of 6 to 3.

Brooklyn won the game with a rally in the top of the 9th inning scoring 3 runs
using 3 hits.  Hughes led off and he lined a one-base hit.  After an out was
recorded, John Anderson stepped in and he drew a walk.  Joe Kelley then
ripped a base-hit to load the bases.  Bill Dahlen was up next and he drew a
walk scoring a run.  Fielder Jones stepped into the box and laced a base-hit
as two more runners crossed the plate.  Baltimore was set down quietly in the
bottom of the 9th.  

Hughes(7-5), allowing 3 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Frank
Kitson(8-5) was the loser.  He was touched for 12 hits and 3 walks in 8 and
1/3 innings.
