Jack Chesbro tossed a complete game at Exposition Park as the Chicago-NL Cubs
beat the Pittsburgh Pirates by the count of 13 to 6.

Chicago-NL came up with 5 runs in the top of the 4th inning when they had 5
base hits.  They would be enough to earn the win.  Chicago-NL had many
opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.  

The victory was credited to Chesbro(8-7) who went the distance, allowing 6
runs. Roy Evans(3-3) was the loser.  He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 8 runs in 5 innings.  

Chicago-NL now has a record of 30-24.  With the loss, the Pittsburgh
ballclub's record is 29-32.
