Eddie Stack(5-2) got credit for the win at West Side Grounds as the Brooklyn
Superbas shutout the Chicago Cubs in 12 innings 1 to 0.

The score was a scoreless tie after nine.  Brooklyn won the hard fought
contest in the 12th inning.  Jake Daubert laced a base-knock.  Red Smith
stepped up next and he delivered a one-base hit.  Smith took second on the
throw.  Bob Fisher then worked the squeeze play to perfection scoring the
run.  Brooklyn had 8 hits for the afternoon while Chicago had 5.  

George Pierce(2-4) took the loss.  He surrendered only 1 run and 8 hits in 12
innings.
