Sid Farrar went yard and had 3 RBI and Charlie Buffinton went the distance at
Polo Grounds where the Philadelphia Quakers beat the New York Giants by the
score of 6 to 5.

Philadelphia scored the deciding run in the top of the 9th inning.  Barney
McLaughlin reached on an error.  After an out was recorded, Harry Wright then
called for a steal which was successful.  Farrar then doubled scoring the
run.  Philadelphia and New York each finished the afternoon with 7 hits.

Buffinton(5-4), allowing 5 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Mickey
Welch(4-5) took the loss in relief.  He was the victim of a defensive lapse
and did not allow an earned run in the game.
