Kelley helped send the fans home happy. He slapped a one-base hit resulting in a run in the 1st inning, doubled in the 3rd inning, blasted a two-run home run in the 6th inning and slapped a base-hit in the 8th inning. Baltimore provided plenty of action in the 7th inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 5 hits. The Baltimore offense was as consistent as it was powerful. They scored in every inning, making a joke of the St. Louis pitching. Mullane(4-4) was credited with the shutout, his first of the year. Ted Breitenstein(6-11) suffered the loss. He allowed 21 hits and 7 walks in 8 innings.
