Cliff Chambers(8-3) pitched okay, well enough for the win.  He was reached for
9 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings and allowed 2 gopher balls.  Chicago-NL
provided plenty of action in the 2nd inning which saw them score 6 runs on 6
hits and the 5th inning which saw them plate 8 runs on 8 hits.  For the game
Chicago-NL out-hit Washington 20 to 9.
