Mike Golden tossed a complete game at Lake Front Park as the Milwaukee
Grays(M) beat the Chicago White Stockings 6 to 1.

Milwaukee took the lead for keeps in the 3rd inning plating 2 runs. Charlie
Bennett led off and he doubled. One out later, Abner Dalrymple was the next
batter, but he struck out. John Peters then reached on an error resulting in
a run. Jake Goodman stepped in and he reached on an error. Terry Larkin
then fired a sharp breaking ball that appeared to cross-up the catcher. In
any event, it got by him and was ruled a passed ball scoring the final run of
the inning. The early run support proved sufficient for Golden(2-6) and
Milwaukee. That was all the run support Golden required. Both teams
finished the game with 10 hits.

Larkin(12-4) was charged with the loss. He allowed 10 hits and no walks in 9
innings.
