Baseballs were flying all over the ballpark as the Cincinnati Reds ran
roughshod over the seemingly hapless Chicago-NL Cubs.  The Cincinnati offense
rolled up a total of 13 runs!.

Cincinnati took the lead for keeps in the 4th inning scoring 2 runners on 2
hits.  For the game Cincinnati out-hit Chicago-NL 18 to 6.  

Hugh Bedient(3-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing
2 runs. Babe Adams earned the save, his 14th.  Rube Benton(5-7) took the
loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 16 hits and 3 walks in
6 innings.  

Cincinnati now has a record of a division leading 28-26. Chicago-NL has a
record of 27-28 after the loss.
