The Detroit Tigers defeated the St. Louis-AL Browns by a score of 7 to 4 at
Navin Field.

St. Louis-AL fell behind quickly as the Detroit offense came through in the
first inning scoring a single run utilizing 2 base hits.  Vin Campbell ripped
a one-base hit.  Rube Marquard then let a pitch get away from him.  Tommy
Leach then drew a walk.  Two outs later Tillie Walker came to bat and banged
out a base-hit scoring the run.  For the game Detroit out-hit St. Louis-AL 12
to 9.  

Earl Moore(3-5) was the winner allowing 4 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings. Ray
Fisher preserved the game for Moore, recording his his 2nd save.
Marquard(5-6) ended up with the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 10 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.
