Clyde Milan had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Washington Nationals topped the
Cleveland Naps by a score of 8 to 3 at League Park.

Washington took the lead for keeps in the 6th inning scoring 2 runs on 3 base
hits.  Chick Gandil led off and started the attack as he stroked a single.
Clark Griffith then called for a steal which was successful.  Frank Laporte
then hit a deep fly which scored a run.  One out later, George McBride
stepped up to the plate and he delivered a one-base hit.  John Henry came up
to bat and lined a base-hit.  George Kahler then threw a pitch that the
catcher muffed scoring the final run of the inning.  Washington out-hit
Cleveland for the game, 16 hits to 8.  

The winning pitcher was Joe Boehling(2-1) who allowed 3 runs in 7 and 1/3
innings. The losing pitcher was Kahler(3-2).  He pitched 6 and 1/3 innings
allowing 12 hits and no walks.
