Elmer Knetzer went the distance as the Pittsburgh Rebels topped the
Indianapolis Hoosiers by a score of 2 to 1 at Greenlawn Park.

The game was decided in the top of the 9th inning.  Claude Berry laced a
base-hit.  Jones got a good lead and stole second.  Knetzer then laid down a
sacrifice bunt.  Jimmie Savage was up next and he would hit into a fielders
choice scoring the run.  The teams had been locked in a scoreless duel until
the 7th inning.  

Knetzer(3-5) lasted until the end allowing 1 run for the win. George
Kaiserling(4-2) took the loss.  He allowed 2 runs and 6 hits in 9 innings.

The Pittsburgh ballclub's record now stands at 26-22.  With this loss,
Indianapolis has a 6-4 record of late, 33-15 overall.
