Bob Feller pitched a complete game shutout as the Washington Nationals smashed
the overmatched Chicago-NL Cubs, 11 to 0.

Joe Dimaggio had a good day at the plate.  He blasted a two-run home run in
the 1st inning and tripled bringing in two baserunners in the 6th inning.
Washington banged out 11 hits on the afternoon.  

Feller(6-4) was credited with the shutout, his first of the year. Harry
Brecheen(3-4) was hit with the loss.  He was touched for 4 homeruns in his 4
and 1/3 innings of work.
