Dale Long had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Yankee Stadium as the Cleveland Indians
beat the New York-AL Yankees 5 to 4.

Cleveland won the game with a run in the top of the 9th inning.  After an out
was recorded, Gene Stephens drew a walk.  Gene Baker stepped up to the plate
and he stroked a base-hit.  After another out, Al Kaline then lined a single
scoring the run.  Kaline took second on the throw.  Cleveland banged out 8
hits on the afternoon.  

Paul Lapalme(3-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning.
Bob Feller gained credit for his 4th save.  Ned Garver(8-5) was the loser.

Cleveland now has a record of 30-29.  With this loss, New York-AL has a 3-7
record of late, 31-40 overall.
