Win Mercer tossed a complete game as the Washington Senators rallied
impressively to win in dramatic style over Baltimore Orioles, 10 to
9.

Washington scored the winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 5 runners on 6
hits. Despite scoring in 5 separate innings, Baltimore could not get the
win.

Mercer(2-4) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 9 runs. Kit
McKenna(2-3) ended up with the loss in relief.

Mercer and Jimmy Slagle were really whooping it up in the clubhouse after the
great come from behind victory. As Arthur Irwin noted, 'A win like this one
can do wonders for a team's attitude.' Everyone shares in the joy - the fans,
the players - even you guys - it's better than winning by a dozen runs!'
