Chick Fraser completed the game without help from the bullpen and left fielder
Jim Delahanty had 2 base hits as the Boston Beaneaters beat the Cincinnati
Reds by a score of 3 to 2.

Fraser(2-8) delivered a fine performance for Boston.  He went 9 innings and
surrended up 5 hits and 9 walks improving his ERA from 4.67 to 4.40.
Cincinnati made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the
needed runs across.  

Jack Harper(3-8) was tagged with the loss. Cincinnati's manager was in a sour
mood after the game.  'Even you guys up in the press box know why we lost
this game. We made too many mistakes.'
