Nap Rucker had a complete game as the Brooklyn Superbas defeated the St. Louis
Cardinals by a score of 5 to 1 at Robison Field.

St. Louis never recovered after Brooklyn took the lead in the top of the 7th
inning plating one baserunner using 3 hits.  Casey Stengel doubled.  Zack
Wheat came to the plate and laced a base-knock scoring the run.  Brooklyn had
11 hits for the afternoon.  

The victory went to Rucker(5-4) who went the distance allowing 1 run. Slim
Sallee(6-4) was tagged with the loss.  He pitched 7 innings giving up 6 hits
and no walks.
