In a great finish the Indianapolis Hoosiers came back in the top of the ninth
and held on to win over the Washington Nationals by a score of 7 to 5 at
Athletic Park.

Indianapolis came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 9th inning
scoring 4 runners on 4 hits. It was roller coaster of a game as the lead
change hands 5 times.

The winning pitcher was Jake Aydelott(4-7) who allowed 5 runs in 8 innings.
Aydelott got help from Larry McKeon who was credited with his 1st save. John
Hamill(1-9) was hit with the loss. He was unable to control the Indianapolis
offense and allowed 12 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings.

Washington's manager was understandably not very talkative after his team's
tough loss. He quickly showered and changed and when asked about the game
had a terse, yet polite response, 'Hey fellows, that game was a heart-breaker
to lose. Our guys gave it their all and played well - fate just wasn't
smilin' on us this afternoon'
