WEB GEMS- Bot 8th: Harry Bay robbed Patsy Dougherty of a Homerun!

Charlie Hickman connected with a 'big fly' and Addie Joss tossed a fine 2
hitter as the Cleveland Naps defeated the Boston Americans by the score of 6
to 1 at Huntington Ave Grnds.

Cleveland drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
when they came up with 2 runs on 3 hits. The early run support proved
sufficient for Joss(6-7) and Cleveland. That was all the run support Joss
required. Cleveland totaled 15 hits on the afternoon.

Long Tom Hughes(4-5) ended up with the loss. Cleveland now has a record of
19-26. With the loss, Boston has a record of 5-5 lately, 29-19 overall.
