The Chicago Cubs and the Philadelphia Phillies locked up in an exciting
one-run game at Baker Bowl.  The final score was the Chicago Cubs 4, the
Philadelphia Phillies 3 in 10 innings.

The score was tied at 3 after nine. Chicago won it in the 10th inning.  Frank
Chance lined a single.  After an out was recorded, Jimmy Slagle came up and
he hit a single.  Johnny Kling then hit a deep fly scoring the run.  Chicago
banged out 10 hits on the afternoon.  

The victory went to Mordecai Brown(8-1) who went 1 and 2/3 innings, allowing
no runs. Frank Corridon(1-1) was the loser.  He gave up 10 hits and 4 walks
in 10 innings.
