Bobby Keefe carried a no-hitter into the 9th inning as the Boston-NL Braves
outscored the Brooklyn Dodgers 2 to 0.

Keefe(4-5) was tremendous on the mound for Boston-NL. He didn't allow much,
just 1 hit and 1 walk in 9 innings dropping his ERA from 3.54 to 3.19. The
right-handed Keefe lost his no-hit bid when Doc Miller singled with nobody
out in the 9th inning. The pitchers took over after the 4th inning as
neither team was able to score again.

The losing pitcher was George Suggs(5-8). Keefe was obviously very pleased
with his performance in the aftermath of the game, 'It was just one of those
games where everything worked. My arm felt great, heck, I could have pitched
another two or three innings. I only hope that I can do it again next time
out!'
