Boston won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Ross Barnes singled. After an out was recorded, Dave Birdsall came to bat and smacked a single. After another out, Spalding then doubled giving Boston the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. Due to a poorly pitched ballgame, scoring in 6 different innings was still not enough for Brooklyn A to come away with the victory. Spalding(16-1) finished the game allowing 13 runs in the victory. Jim Britt(2-7) suffered the loss. Boston knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 14 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings. The winning ways continue for Boston. They now have a record of 10-0 in recent days. With the loss, the Brooklyn A ballclub's record is 2-7.
