Center fielder Pete Browning had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Toad Ramsey threw a 4
hitter as the Louisville Colonels outscored the Pittsburgh Alleghenys in 11
innings 4 to 3.

Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings. Louisville won the
hard fought contest in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Browning
doubled. Bill White stepped up next and he delivered a base-hit. Joe
Werrick then hit a sacrifice fly scoring the run. Louisville totaled 12 hits
on the afternoon.

The win went to Ramsey(13-12) who allowed 3 runs in the game. The loss was
charged to John Hofford(4-5) in relief. He pitched 2 innings allowing 2 hits

'I had my good stuff today.' Ramsey said. 'As the game went along I started to
get the feeling that I was going to strike out a bunch of hitters.'
