Ed Stein tossed a complete game and center fielder Jimmy Ryan had 4 hits and 3
RBI at League Park as the Chicago Colts beat the Cleveland Spiders 10 to
6.

Ryan led the offense for Chicago.  He lined a base-hit in the 1st inning,
tripled plating two runs in the 4th inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'
in the 6th inning and ripped a single in the 9th inning.  Chicago rapped out
12 hits for the afternoon.  

Stein(5-3) was the winner allowing 6 runs for the game. Henry Gruber(5-9) was
charged with the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12 hits and 7 walks
in 9 innings.
