Cy Young pitched a complete game as the Cleveland Spiders defeated the Chicago
Colts 12 to 3 at League Park.

Cleveland tallied 6 runs in the 4th inning when they had 6 base hits.  The
crucial at-bat was provided by Jake Virtue who made the crowd happy when he
doubled bringing in two baserunners.  Cleveland totaled 15 hits on the
afternoon.  

Young(14-4) was the winner allowing 3 runs for the game. Willie McGill(4-13)
was given the loss.  He allowed 15 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
