Ducky Holmes collected 2 extra-base hits and had 3 RBI and Bill Hoffer went
the distance as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Brooklyn Bridegrooms by
the score of 12 to 5 at Washington Park.

Hoffer(4-0) had a fairly solid outing.  He surrendered 12 hits and 3 walks in
9 innings.  Both teams totaled 12 hits on the afternoon.  

Ralph Miller(0-8) ended up with the loss.  He surrendered 6 runs and 7 hits in
7 and 2/3 innings.  Baltimore remained hot, improving their record to a
league leading 36-12.  They now have a record of 8-2 in recent days.  Still
in a bad slump, with this loss, Brooklyn is 2-8 lately and 13-35, worst in
the league on the year.
