Doc White allowed Andy Spector to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as
the Philadelphia-AL Athletics bested the St. Louis-AL Browns 3 to 2 at
Sportsman'S Park.

Philadelphia-AL brought 2 runs across the plate in the 6th inning when they
had 4 base hits.  They would prove to be the difference in the contest.  Both
teams totaled 7 hits on the afternoon.  

The win went to White(10-2) who allowed 2 runs in the game. Tully Sparks(5-6)
