TEAM RISP- Pirates: 7 for 15 Beaneaters: 0 for 9

Right fielder Jimmy Sebring had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Ed Doheny was able to
finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the
Pittsburgh Pirates clobbered the outmatched Boston Beaneaters, 12 to
2.

Sebring enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He doubled scoring two baserunners
in the 1st inning, doubled in the 2nd inning, smacked a single in the 7th
inning and doubled knocking in a run in the 9th inning. Pittsburgh banged
out 17 hits on the afternoon.

The victory was credited to Doheny(7-6) who went the distance, allowing 2
runs. John Malarkey(2-7) was tagged with the loss. He was unable to control
the Pittsburgh offense and allowed 17 hits and 6 walks in 9 innings.

This win by Pittsburgh continues their recent hot streak. In their last ten
games, they have a record of 9-1. For the season, they are 34-20. Boston
can't seem to snap out of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a miserable 2-8
record over the last couple weeks.
