The Washington Nationals edged the Boston-AL Americans at Huntington Ave Grnds
by the score of 6 to 5.

The game was won by Washington when they scored a run in the top of the 9th
inning.  Fred Clarke tripled.  After an out was recorded, Ernie Courtney came
to bat and ripped a base-knock scoring the run.  Washington rapped out 12
hits for the afternoon.  

Charlie Case(5-2) got the win allowing no runs in 2 innings. Chick Fraser(1-4)
was the loser in relief.  He pitched 2 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 4 hits
and no walks.
