Candy Cummings hurled a fine complete game shutout and second baseman Tom
Carey had 4 hits and 6 RBI as the Baltimore C Canaries really laid it on the
Brooklyn Atlantics 12 to 0.

Carey had a good day at the plate.  He doubled scoring two baserunners in the
2nd inning, delivered a one-base hit plating two runs in the 4th inning,
stroked a base-hit in the 7th inning and laced a single bringing home two
baserunners in the 8th inning.  Baltimore C had 17 hits for the afternoon.

Cummings(13-12) was credited with the shutout, his first of the year. The
losing pitcher was Jim Britt(7-7).  Baltimore C knocked him around a bit, as
he gave up 12 runs in 8 innings.
