Second baseman Claude Ritchey touched them all and had 2 RBI and Pete Dowling
allowed Fred Clarke to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the
Louisville Colonels bested the Baltimore Orioles 9 to 5 at Eclipse
Park.

Dowling(5-9) pitched well enough to earn the win.  He went 9 innings
surrendering 11 hits and 7 walks.  Louisville managed 15 hits in their
victory.  

Harry Howell(2-3) was the losing pitcher.  Louisville knocked him around a
bit, as he gave up 9 runs in 8 innings.
