Cy Seymour rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Jack Sutthoff went the
distance as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 13 to 5 at
Baker Bowl.

Seymour was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He blasted a solo shot in the 3rd
inning, singled in the 5th inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 9th
inning. Cincinnati bats were hot in the 5th inning which saw them score 4
runs on 6 hits and the 7th inning when they had 4 runs on 4 hits. Cincinnati
rapped out 20 hits for the afternoon.

The victory was credited to Sutthoff(9-2) who went the distance, allowing 5
runs. Pop Williams(0-3) was charged with the loss. He was touched for 3
homeruns in his 8 innings of work.
