One run was the difference at Hilltop Park as the streaking Chicago White Sox

Chicago scored the deciding run in the 8th inning. After two were out Fielder
Jones lined a base-hit. Jones got a good lead and stole second. Ducky
Holmes then laced a single scoring the run. Holmes took second on the throw.
Both teams finished the game with 7 hits.

Doc White(4-6) went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Frank Smith
recorded his 2nd save. The losing pitcher was Jack Chesbro(2-7).

No one has been able to stop Chicago lately as they lengthened their winning
streak to 8 games. 'We're on quite a roll lately' said Chicago's manager. 'I
just hope we can keep it going.'
