Elmer Flick had 2 base hits at Palace of the Fans as the Cincinnati Reds beat
the Boston-AL Americans in 17 innings 7 to 6.

The game was deadlocked at 6 after nine full innings.  Cincinnati came out the
victor in the 17th inning.  After two were out Larry Schlafly doubled.  Flick
followed next and he doubled making Cincinnati the winners and sending the
3,290 fans home happy.  Both teams ended up with 13 hits on the afternoon.

The win went to Jack Townsend(2-2) who allowed 1 run in 9 innings. Chief
Bender(3-10) suffered the loss in relief.  He was stingy with the
baserunners, allowing just 4 hits and 1 walk in 9 and 2/3 innings.
